The above comments pointed out by brkntek are redundant comments as they don't add any substance to the discussion and are off topic. I also think you're sensing animosity in my comment when there is in fact none at all. I'm not going to argue though as I have my own reservations about certain styles, Jump Up being one of them, but I don't feel the need to post comments about stuff I don't like, especially in threads that aren't about personal tastes, simple as that. I still hold that Jungle/DnB is dead in Toronto at the moment no matter what style it is. Electronic music in general has tooken a hard blow here, it just isn't thriving anymore like it used to, and it is partially due to the people within the scene. I've been to shows where the headliner is on and everyone is at the bar area. this is some of the reason the scene is in the state it is in here at the moment.

sensed a little animosity, safe tho. none on my end either.

i however, dont feel pointing out the glory of mashed breaks, big subs, and hella hoovers is redundant - as its a lost art that many a dnbhead/junglist of today have really no idea bout. srsly.

mashed breaks. big subs. hoovers. study em, make em your bitch, unleash the fury. :)

I definitely agree that the kids into jungle/DnB nowadays don't really understand what the music they are listening to, or care for that matter. That's what has been lost in recent years, the love of the music, as opposed to going out and jumping around to video game sounds while on your drug of choice, exactly the reason Jump Up is so popular.

I'm from an area where jungle was never even alive, it's still a single-celled amoeba up here. So aside from what I read online, I don't really know what's going on in the jungle/dnb "scene". And though this thread isn't about personal preferences, they're pretty much all I've got to go on.

Amen + 808 + Ragga vocals = the way to my heart

ya, i'm where Bro is. but i do kno that lots of people still love drum'n'bass in ontario, and there are tons of parties. and most ragga-junglists and breakcore nerds are pretty much fanatic, and not very concerned with popularity. drum'n'bass was pretty much all that mattered to me in music for a long time, until i got into the 808 + mashed amens + bloodclaat raggamuffin vibes. liked the expansion of Breakcore. liked the counter of dubstep. like the fusion of dubcore. pretty much love all music now. from johnny cash to jeffree starr. i dont really care. we should all spend less time in this thread. its just a t-shirt lol
